  报告39例高位腰椎间盘突出症。L1-22例，L2-33例，L3-434例。均行手术治疗。术后平均随访4年5个月，疗效优25例，良10例，可3例，差1例。从发病机理、解剖结构及临床特点讨论了高位腰椎间盘突出症的诊断和治疗，并提出了术中的注意点及二次以上手术的预防。

  39 cases with upper lumbar disc herniation were reported. 2 cases were at L1-2, 3 cases at L2-3,and 34 cases at L3-4. All of them were operated. They were followed up for an average of 4 years and 5 monthes with excellent result in 25 cases,good in 10 cas
